A few weeks ago, events in Charlottesville, Virginia catapulted the issue of white nationalism into the consciousness of just about every American. Once more we saw the ugly face of racism, we heared its disgusting words, we witnessed its violent methods. How should Christians understand and respond to such events biblically? Is the pulpit a place to talk about such things? After all, the pulpit must be used to preach the gospel, not endorse certain political platforms.
